One Christmas we recieved a "Christmas Letter" from a dear family we have known for years. You know, one of those letters where the mom writes about their family and the past year and then mails it with their Christmas card. The first time I got one of those I thought it was...well...I thought it was hokey. I read it. I was interested but I thought, "Wow they really opened theirselves up there." Time went by and each year I find myself kind of opening their card up a little quicker. Mostly to see what was up and if their lives are still hectic and how the kids have grown. I realized this year that I really like these letters. Even if that is the only contact I get with this family for the year, it's still fun to read.
So.....Yes! We're going to be one of "those" families this year. Hee hee...
Here's our rosey letter that you may get with our rosey card. Hope you like it.

The year 2006 brought us so many joys and blessings. God has provided fully and continues to bless our home in unimaginable ways. From the completion of the long awaited adoption to Kazz beginning his college journey we continue to count each blessing with awe.
Brian is still working at KUKA. He travels quite a bit to other states and countries ”checking the lines” against his drawings. We know with certainty that we are very blessed to have a career in this unstable economy and we thank our Lord and Savior for that. Brian still coaches basketball for Brisan and this January will begin coaching Vinze’s basketball team. He and Brise take horse-riding lessons after church on Sunday afternoons and somehow he still finds time to hunt and cook. Still yet, he’s managed to add yet another hobby. He began fencing lessons with Kazz. They are quite the dueling duo. J
I am still a homeschooling mom. This year I’ve also taken on the roll of “Sports Taxi Driver.” If I’m not driving our 15 passenger “family car” (van) to basketball and fencing, I’m driving to homeschool park days, gym days and field trips. When I’m not driving there we’re hauling our camper to a campsite. I still ”find time” to run the Macomb Co. Christian Homeschoolers group that I founded 2 short years ago. We are now 160 families strong and are quite the active group. We are on the go most days and that’s a fun thing to be!
Kazz is already 14 years old. He’s worked very hard and has recently been accepted into Macomb Community College. He is excited to begin his studies in January. He competed in the Junior Olympics, in foil fencing, for the first time this year. Had he beaten his last competitor he would have gone to the finals in Colorado. We are very proud of his accomplishments.
Brisan is in 4th grade this year. He’s played center for his basketball team for 3 years now. As an added interest, he began taking horse lessons this year. He enjoys grooming and riding the horses and even learning the information required to do well in his training. When he’s not out and about he can be found on the computer playing games against his friends from our town and other cities. They are quite the group of players. They chat and then shoot each other. Gotta love that!
Vinze is in 1st grade this year. He can read like a trooper and zooms through his math studies. He is very excited about “finally being old enough to play sports!” He can do back-flips on the trampoline and can’t wait until his birthday, in April, when he can begin “fencing like Kazz.” He is very much infatuated with his big brother. That bond is amazing.
Daxx and Kole are 3 as of December 8th. Daxx is one rambunctious little boy. He is amazingly sweet and funny. He loves to dress up in his Thomas the Train costume and jump on the trampoline.
Kole knows most of his letters and sounds and talks up a storm. He’s very bright and quite calm. He is potty trained, unlike his twin who has no interest, and frankly I don’t have the patience anymore. J They help each other climb onto anything they aren’t supposed to and keep me quite busy, that’s for sure!
