CHRISTMAS 2007

Christmas 2008 started off with sleepy kids. Brian and I got up before the boys and woke up Kazz. Kazz got the honors of waking Brise and Vinze. He also helped Brian wake Daxx and Kole. I had enough time to brush my teeth and ready the camera to capture the "Oh my gosh PRESENTS reaction." :-)

Vinze arrived in the living room first. He could barely get his eyes open.

He REALLY had a hard time opening his eyes! LOL
Kazz was still groggy from coughing all night. Poor guy has a cold on Christmas.
Daxx arrived in the living room and could not believe his eyes!
He was absolutely stunned to see presents under the tree.
He just stood there and stared. LOL
It's so funny that Daxx and Kole
were born in December because they have no memory of
Christmas from the previous years of their lives.
This year...I'm SURE they will know what Christmas means.
Presents, sparkly lit trees, Santa and as Kole said,
"Is Jesus here? Did Santa buy these? Is the birthday party here?"
To which I said,
"Happy Birthday Jesus.
Do you think Santa bought these? I think daddy and I bought some. It looks like a party doesn't it."
We don't say there is a Santa but we let them believe. When they ask if he's coming or if he bought presents we usually just answer with a question like, "What do you think?" Eventually they say no so they get it after a while. That way we aren't lying to them and they get to believe for however long they want to have fun with it.
It wasn't long before everyone started searching for their name on gifts.
"WOW" "LOOK!" "MAN! THIS ONE NEEDS BATTERIES!"
Yep, Brian and I forgot to buy the batteries. :-(

They boys had fun.
Brian and I got a good laugh and smile from the reactions and the morning went off with
a lot of smiles, ooos, aaaahs, and hugs.

Thank you for the many, many blessings Jesus.

Love the pics! We do the same thing w/ Santa- let him belive. DH says- do you want Santa to get all the credit for the presents???!!! a few days before Christmas a person at gymnastics asked him 'if he belived?' good thing we don't push Santa- i might have gotten 'really' upset! I loved your answers...so funny. it was the truth...
