Hello all of my friends who commented on my last vacation post! Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers for our sons. They are doing better, though..you know how that goes. Moody blues and whiny hiney's follow a sickness but all is going relatively well with them. At least the fevers are gone...Thank you Jesus..(I mean that in the true way not the "in vain" way.) :-)
Well, I can't share photos at the moment. Our Internet is sloooowwwww. I don't know what happened but even though it is satellite Internet it is acting like dial-up. I cannot wait to get to a computer where I can zip my photos along and drop entrecards like I usually do. Zip, Zoom, done!
At any rate, the kids are feeling much better. They have been swimming like the dickens. We went to the "Big Dog" store down here in Tennessee. I laughed my hiney off. There are so many sayings on the shirts and merchandise that we actually say! I wanted to buy all of them...except the beer and "toot" ones. Those were across the line for us, but then I wondered where I would wear the attire so I settled for the nightgown my parents bought for me when they went there yesterday. It says,
Big Dog Mom Rules
1. Mom Is The Boss
2. See rule #1
That about says it all. LOL
Brian bought tickets to Dolly's Dixie Stampede dinner show. That was very fun for the kids. Their eyes were totally glittering with wonderment. There were flying people, a magic trick where the girl kept disappearing before our eyes, beautiful horses and trick riders.
All of this was going on while we ate a 4 course meal. We sat in the stands, Front Row, Center stage and saw the best of the best play out right in front of us. Kazz even had to get a new dinner because the horse kicked dirt onto his plate! That's a feat because the walls are high enough that, that should not have happened!
We sat on the "North" side so we, of course, rooted for the North and had to yell and scream and stamp our feat for our northern riders and ropers. The South side did the same for their side. They won. But we just say that makes them louder mouths! LOL My niece got a kick out of that.
Kazz and my mom did have asthma attacks in there and had to leave early. We sat outside and watched the people for the last 1/4 of the show. They are fine and all is well with the world.
What an awesome cabin we are stayin in...ho my goodness. I'll tell you more about it and where to rent it from after we leave. You know how that is...but it has been a huge blessing. We ALL have bathrooms right in our rooms. Most of them have jacuzzi tubs. The main floor bedroom has a beautiful walk in open, tile shower. That is my parents 40th anniversary room.
It's been a great way for Brian and I to spend our 18th anniversary month. Brian and I have a jacuzzi tub too. The beds are sooo comfortable. I've slept better here than I have in a long time. All the kids have their own rooms and televisions, though I'm not entirely sure they've even used their televisions. They swim and play in the game room most of the time.
Tomorrow..we may actually get to see Gatlinburg! More pictures to come when I get home and have my computer. This connection is the pits! But oh what a kitchen to be typing in! :-)
