I turned Forty.  *sigh*  Yep, I turned the big 4-0.  I have been saying that I'm 40 since my 39th birthday....just to get used to the idea.  Once it actually got here, I sort of stopped saying it.  It's just not the same when it's true.

I've never been one to have a big birthday celebration or ask for big gifts for my birthday.  I just don't have much interest in yahooing around once a year just because I was born on that day.  This year, however, my husband thought it was time to change that situation.  He planned a party at a local Bistro.  He called some of our closest friends and to my amazement, they showed up to support me on my big day!

I didn't know about the party at first, but Brian let the cat out of the bag sooner rather than later.  I guess he had to because he was bringing the balloons to the event and I, of course, would be riding with him! LOL

We, and our friends, met up at a local Bistro where we Feather Bowled, ate, hung out and chatted until the Bistro closed.  I had a great time and am starting to think that this should be a yearly event!

I sort of like having a big birthday party.  I especially like the Broadway Tickets to 6 Broadway shows that my hubby bought for me!

I wonder how many years in a row I can cajole my buddies into coming out to celebrate? All I know for sure is, I've missed out on a lot of fun and plan to make up for it in spades!  Next year we're totally going to Vegas you guys! (...or maybe we'll have a BBQ)
