BRISAN THE THINKER...

Today I took Brise to our neighborhood Fruit and Vegetable store to buy necessities for our home. It's always nice to get one of the boys alone for an extended period of time. I've always felt that those are the precious moments that I can get to know our children a little bit more. As I hopped into the van after our shopping experience I noticed that Brise was looking up at the
top of a nearby building. I watched him for a moment and then he noticed that I was staring.

Before I could comment he said, "You know what they should do?" of course I neither knew who "they" were nor what "they" should do, but I said "What should they do?" As I turned the key in the ignition.

"They should make video surveillance cameras that look like birds sitting on their building. They should make them fly a little and move around like a bird would, but they couldn't use metal for that because they would be too heavy, they would have to use some sort of light weight product so they float in an believable way."

I wondered how that amount of thought came out of a 9 year old boys mouth in the amount of time it took him to hop into the van and put on his seat belt. I wondered how he could get all of that reasoned out before I could turn on the ignition. I wondered 'What else is this boy thinking? What have I missed? What an idea!'

Yep, He's a thinker.

Oh my gosh....this happens to me all the time. I think it has to do with the air currents and pressures around the vehicle! Some of the conversations I have about knock me out of the car...and where do they come from???? One minute their talking about burping and other stuff pertaining to that and then the next...wham! They've got world peace all figured out! It's a complex world we live in :-)

I do believe it is the air currents and pressures around a vehicle. The force that keeps the doors shut and their butts in the seat! LOL Our best discussions are when they are forced to sit in one spot for more than 10 seconds. The fun thing is that THEY START THE DISCUSSION! :-) That is the best!
