DIALOGUE! DIALOGUE! DIALOGUE!
I'M LOVING IT!
My good friend Ellen put some hard work, prayer and Bible searching into these questions. Beautifully said and I couldn't agree more. :-)

Here is how I shake things out in Shelly-ville...
after much digging on the Internet, reasoning and thinking thus far...
Basically Christianity falls to this...or so this is how I see it so far in this life's journey.
We have to accept that God made us, and Lucifer, knowing we would fall due to our own disobedience.
We have to accept that He was, and is, alright with sending His creations to a hell that He created for Lucifer and also, because He knew we would fall too, US.
Do you see that...that right there?
If He knew we would fall then He very well knew hell would be made for us too.
Here's the thing...
He thought enough of us that He put Himself into our body and our world too.
As we live in the sin that we created, He gives us His spirit, on a daily basis. He is always knocking at our heart even though the door is covered in...to use my southern grandma's word from the farm...Shit.
(It wasn't a bad word back in her day and it really just seems to apply here.)
He keeps knocking through the filth, because He loves us THAT much.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him. --Revelation 3:20
He did not make us and then leave us to stumble around in the dark. He didn't give us the precious gift of life just to turn His back on us. He makes our path straight and guides our steps if we are willing to allow Him to do that for us, because we cannot do it ourselves.
"It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn."
Psalm 18:32-36
Psalm 25:9
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
Psalm 25:12
Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:6
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
He's right here, right now, walking right in the crap we've made. He's like...geeze you guys...
"Here, take my hand...look both ways...cross the street."
We are the 3 year old about to be run over by our own wants and He is the loving Hand saying...Here is the plan kiddo, you'll be happier this way over here...come on you silly thing...stop running...get over here...hey...right now...over here...here...what part of "here" don't you understand!!
Why did He make sins or "rules" that we could break and then fail and go to hell?
He made rules because he knows our limitations as a body...a literal body...DNA...flesh.
Thus he made rules against things that would cause us illness, harm or otherwise distract us from His eyes and purpose for our lives. That is why he asks us to pray and seek and read the Bible; because "Sin" isn't just one thing...
Sin is: "Anything that takes us away from God's plan for our lives. The plan is what we should be prayerfully seeking every day in faith and careful prayer as THAT PLAN is a place.
THAT place is where we find total contentment and joy, even during the sorrowful times...even in DEATH.
He is with us on that journey and we will never walk it alone. That place is in His arms. Seek Jesus and His will for our lives and our path becomes more clear and our desire for things not of God fades."
quote from Shelly not the Bible. :-)
Where did I get that from?
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Psalm 48:14
For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.
Romans:
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the
trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that
came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
16 Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The
judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed
many trespasses and brought justification.
17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one
man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace
and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus
Christ.
18 Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for
all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification
that brings life for all men.
19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made
sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made
righteous.
20 The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more!!
Yes, He has the power.
Yes, He made the rules.
Yes, He IS a DICTATOR....
who loves us and knows us personally and...
Who Died For Us.
He died for us.
He lived for us and He suffered and He died for us.
He will not only fight against sin but He will fight FOR US!
I'd like to have that guy on my side when I'm battling things in my life.
"The LORD is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalm 27:1
----------------------------------------------
Can we accept that He is a loving yet wrathful God?
OR
Can we accept that...
in the beginning there was nothing that was created from nothing
and it blew up
and turned into molecules and atoms
and then those non-living atoms came alive and miraculously turned into beauty and structure?
Oh not miraculously...I mean just one day for no reason came alive and turned into beauty...no miracles...none.
THAT is the question.

I can't imagine all that I see came from nothing.
Give me miracles please!
The first miracle is that we exist, and we do not have to.
I'll take the miracle that God offers us...life!
Amen...thrice!
