SPEECH CLASS

Our Daxx is a bright and energetic little boy. He enjoys playing, running, laughing and getting into anything that he isn't supposed to get into. From the time Daxx and Kole began to talk we could tell that Kole was the speaker and Daxx was the listener. It's just the way it is. Because of this, Daxx hasn't developed the ability to speak in complete sentences. Let me rephrase that. He can speak in complete sentences but we can't understand what he's saying.
Oddly enough, when he is asked to say one word at a time he can do that lickety-split with ease. It's just putting a bunch of words together that gives him a problem. They all split into unintelligible syllables and sounds. The result is that Daxx will speak, Kole will interpret and adults have trouble keeping up.
I've said all that to say that our Daxx has to take speech classes.
I wondered how we would manage this as Daxx has trouble sitting still for dinner let alone a class.
To my great surprise and happiness I noticed that just across the hall from his speech class is a Gross Motor room for preschoolers. I was so excited to know that we were allowed to arrive early and play in the room until his speach class begins. OH YAY! That's when the idea hit me.
Daxx and Kole both come to the school.
Daxx and Kole play until Daxx's classtime when Mrs. Terri comes to say it's time for class.
Daxx leaves very happy to attend class while announcing that Kole cannot come because it's
"HIS CLASS NOT KOLES"
Kole is fine and dandy with that because he gets to play!!
No tears. No worries. Daxx sits. Kole plays. Mom's happy.
God Loves Me.

Oh yay! I may very well take you up on that offer. If his teacher gives me any advice on things to get I'll definitely ask you first.

Thank you for the offer. :-)
