"SHELLY THUNK IT CRAFT" PROGRESS

I've had a few people asking me how my Upside Down Tomato plant is doing. Well, I am happy to report that it is growing like a weed and I have the weeds in my front rock garden to prove it! LOL

The boys had a blast weeding our rock garden after that picture was taken. I told them to see if there was treasure under the weeds. The weeds were gone in no time flat! :-)

Our upside town tomato plant is doing fine. I'll be sure to post updates as tomatoes grow. I can't wait to eat the first one!

I was just wondering about this the other day when you posted about raising kids and not raising gardens.

I'm glad to hear it's still doing well. By the way, I was telling someone I know who is a big gardener about your project since it was the first time I'd ever heard of it and they said you can even plant flowers in the top? I don't know if its true just thought I'd pass the info along.

How did that happen??? Don't they naturally sprout up???

I planted it upside down with the plant facing down and the roots facing up into the container.

It kept growing and is now growing up and around the jug. :-) They will grow however you plant them.
