We have arrived in Pigeon Forge Tennessee! Let me tell you...THAT is a feat unto itself.
The day before we left home Vinze spiked a fever and was diagnosed with "probable" strep. Whatever that means.... Antibiotic.
We took off to grab my parents, brother and niece in Kentucky. Halfway to Kentucky I looked back in the van and saw Kole with big red cheeks. FEVER!
We stayed at my parent's home for one night. I took care of the two little sickie-poos and they felt pretty good the next morning so we all took off for Tennessee.

Halfway to Tennessee we start hearing Daxx moaning in his sleep. His cheeks were red and he woke up wailing that his legs and stomach hurt. We were very happy to see our "cabin" (6 bedrooms/8 bathrooms/Jacuzzi and an indoor swimming pool ALL OURS)
BUT...when we arrived at the "cabin," we found out that there was a power-outage and we were without lights, water and electric. We were sitting with 3 fevering kids in a hot, hot, "cabin" and one with a severe stomach ache. *sigh*
Three red cheeks, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree.... *loopy* Shelly fell asleep next to Daxx after his dry heaving/vomiting episode and the dip in the cool pool to bring his fever down...REMEMBER the water didn't work because there was NO POWER for the pumps...Thank God for the 8 bathrooms and the pool in the basement.
I woke up and...still no power.

At 10:00 pm the power came on while we were all huddled in the living room with a portable radio. As soons as the lights came on we turned on the air conditioning and everyone took off like roaches to their own space. The kids played in the pool, the men played billiards and air hockey, mom and I watched House Hunters because we were the only two who just had no more energy to run like a roach! LOL
I am HAPPY to say that the boys are feeling much better and we were able to go see some sights today!
We witnessed an oudoor wedding from the balcony of our cabin today.
We took the kids to the Ripley's Wonder Works Museum. The building is upside down. The kids saw that as we drove through Pigeon Forge and deemed that a Day 1 activity must. The Ripley's Museum has a lot of fun and educational hands-on activities for kids and adults. You can ride in a restaurant booth during a scale 6 earthquake so....We did it.
You can stand in hurricane force winds so....we did it.
You can be lifted on a bed of nails so...we did it!
AND...You can go potty in a bathroom that has windows....
Kazz did it.
I waited until we got home. *yikes*
After you step into the bathroom and lock the door, the windows frost over.
I don't trust that. It may malfunction...who knows?!
Right now...My mom is playing cards with Brise, the kids are swimming in the basement, the men are watching the kids, playing billiards and watching the big screen tv in the basement also.
I am relaxing. :-) It's time to make dinner....I'm thinking chicken.
