We may be in the car, at the park or roaming around our home when the newest menu item is proclaimed, but one thing we have learned is that we must listen.
We must listen because his ideas are so dog-gone good!
Today he announced that he has a dinner idea. I stopped what I was doing and listened. I also handed him a new notebook so he can start writing all of his ideas down, lest we miss one!
Vinze: "First you toast two waffles, after they are done you put them on a plate and fry an egg sunny side up, you know the sunny side yellow side of the egg mom...that's the side that goes up...then you fry some bacon and put it on the waffle too and put the other waffle on the first waffle and make a waffle sandwich."
Yum! Lot's of calories...and fat...but YUM!
Vinnie's idea brought back a memory of my father. He would make a rendition of this kind of sandwich every now and then. As Vinnie and I made his new creation, I also made myself one of my dad's sandwiches from years ago.
I call it
"Heart Attack On A Plate."
"Heart Attack On A Plate."
Fry and egg, over easy, in the bacon grease.
Place the egg on top of the bacon.
Add a piece of tomato
(I didn't have any yet because my experiment is still growing) ....

and Voila!
Heart Attack On A Plate
Enjoy! :o)
Enjoy! :o)

That's right... get the boy cooking young! Whatever he cooks means less cooking for you!!!
Don't you love what they come up with?
I think I'm going to be sick! I think Vinnie has great taste, but the other sandwich requires a cast iron stomach!
I did eat the Heart Attack sandwich and I think that will be the last one I eat for a while. It was way too greasy! I don't know how dad ate them. LOL
OMG, this SO looks like something I would eat in a minute! I'll be right there. :D
hahaha your son is so cute.. reminds me of my daughter who always want to invent what she wants to eat lol..

since we are gluten free and most gf bread tastes like doo doo...we use pancakes for PB&J all the time. use scizzors to cut- keeps the ooze factor down. just something different to try;) gotta love a waffle sandwich!
O boy this looks like something my husband would love! It is just too cute what they can come up with. By the way I love your blog.
The "Heart Attack on a Plate" has been a very infrequent favorite of mine for years. Only thing I do different is instead of mayo, I use BUTTER the minute the bread is out of the toaster. YUM-YUM. Will try the mayo. :)
