MY POLITICAL STANCE JUST BECAME CEMENTED

UPDATE: I'm moving this post to the top of my blog again. It deserves another look as some of my family may want to see the video of Obama speaking from his own mouth. Sometimes the media tries to "spin" but voting records and the spoken word from the man's own heart are fact laden instead of spin laden.

Am I a one issue voter? When it comes to this...I Am.

"Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.

In the second hearing, Stanek said, “I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”" Read more here...

----------------------------------

In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote.

---------------------

To be fair, it has been stated that Obama "didn't like the language" of the bill so that is apparently why he voted no. Well, in THAT case it's fine. I mean, you know, what's the big deal if a few more suffering BORN infants die while the language is cleared up? No biggie.

This, my friends, is where I take my kid gloves off. I'm done.

My Stance: This gal is voting for Palin. McCain isn't my favorite man in the world, but Obama
makes me vomit. I'm in full tilt.

McCain/Palin, you have my vote!

Shelly M. Michigan voting AGAINST Obama/ FOR Palin.

(ps: The top picture is of a 14 week gestation baby.)

Shall we crown him King or shall we question the media's motives?

When I watched the video of the nurse who spoke in court about this I was horrified. I could not believe anyone could do this. Very sad.

This issue came to my heart very easily once I was pregnant and found out the truth about partial birth abortions. You will find that every pro choice bill has the stance "to save the life of a mother even at 7 months", this has been overused and under reported. We need to let the truth out there. McCain has at least 20 yrs of pro life history, believe me I checked. I was looking to see if he faltered, he said it is 25 which may be correct. I only looked back 20 yrs. Thanks for posting this post, it ain't easy being honest!

I could only watch some of the video with Ms. Stanek. The idea of holding a tiny boy, knowing he was going to die because some adults (I can't call them parents) chose to kill him, for 45 minutes...

I wept. It has wrecked my whole day.

I have just a couple of things to say. 1- I find this disgusting, and terribly frightening. However, if a child is aborted at 14 weeks, I do not think the child would be viable, even if they did take actions to save it. However with that said, to just stand there, and the infant is alive, and do nothing is inhumane. 2- Obama said in the last debate, basically that he felt because the Dr's are liable for their own actions, in doing or not doing anything that they as law makers were sort of vindicated. I disagree, when they are passing these laws that would protect said doctors, that do nothing. Obama is for passage of some bill, and forgive me if I have forgotten the name, that will make abortion legal for anyone at anytime during the pregnancy, not just when the mothers life is in danger as he stated. I will admit I am pro choice, but I am pro choice, with a lot of stipulations. I dont think Doctors should be doing this, and I can not imagine, as a nurse, ever partaking in it.

Excellent post. I haven't watched the videos since I plan to wait until my kids are in bed. I agree about abortion making me a "one issue voter." I just can't vote for politicians that legalize murder.

Great post. I'm a Michigan homeschooler and working through all of these issues as well.

This issue is at the heart of this election. It is sad to think that we could elect a man who can't even allow a baby once born to be given Constitutional protection. And if he can deny a baby Constitutional protection what other Constitutional protections can he also deny.

Joe Biden yesterday foretold of an international disaster that will lead to some unpopular decisions by Obama. But he told us to trust Obama even when we think he's not doing the right thing. What exactly will he do that we won't like? Biden didn't say, but considering his past, I don't think it will be good for us or good for America. (I have the complete quote on my blog if your interested.)

BTW. I've added you to my bloglines. Keep up the great blogging.

Blessings

I cannot believe that people think that this is okay! Can you imagine taking a baby to the "soiled linen room" to die!

Thank you so much for posting this. I don't speak politically on my blog just because I don't like to debate. But, when it comes to defenseless children, I'm with you...I draw the line!
