MY FEET ARE COLD...

Our family moved here a little over 5 years ago. We had two children. They both had their own bedrooms. Brian and I had ours and our computers were in the office downstairs. There was plush carpeting in that room and I liked it very much. We could play shuffle board on the basement floor, as well as pee in the basement toilet and wash our hands at the same time. Times, well...Times have changed.

I'm sitting in our basement as I type this blog because that is where my computer is stationed. Our home has become an interesting place to live in the past few years.

We've acquired, through the grace of God and His sense of humor, 3 more sons. When that happened 3 boys had to share what was once the bedroom for Brian and I. We moved to the little room and the little baby twins got Brisan's old room. That lasted long enough for us to get the adoption finalized. Then we shuffled around a bit.

Bedrooms were established in the basement, a second bathroom was renovated to include a shower, our office space was ca put and Brian and I were able to once again walk around our bed, instead of crawl into our prospective spots due to a King Sized bed being crammed into a twin sized room.

The 3 eldest boys have their own rooms now. The twins still sleep in the same room and though they have two beds, end up sleeping together just the same. Apparently they started out life sleeping side by side and they intend to keep the matter at status queue for the time being.

I say all of this to make this point. In the hustle and bustle to create comfy rooms for our children we've neglected to make a decent office space. I sit in my basement laundry room, listen to the heater turn on and off, listen to the washer and dryer drone and freeze because of the cold, hard floor that bites at my feet. It's very hard to think while trying to warm my toes at the same time.

I think it's time to sincerely think about moving.

I so can understand your space issue. As I was trying to fight for the most populated spot in the kitchen just to try to warm Kara's bottle this morning, my mind went to a place where there was the availability for me to be the only person in my personal space....ahhh...the very thought warms my soul.
