MEMORY LANE

I've been tagged!

Name something you do everyday:
1. Check my e-mails
2. Click on all my favorite blogs to see if they've been updated with
a new post!

Name 2 things you wish you could learn:

I wish I could learn to perform surgery or become a psychologist. (My hidden desire is to be a doctor)
I wish I could learn sign language fluently.

Of course, both of these things are doable. For one, however, I would have to give up life as I know it, including my husband and my children, to pursue the dream. I think that one will have to stay a want.

The other is a matter of getting down to business to learn the language! :-)

Name 3 things that remind you of your childhood:

Tire Swings

Yoo Hoo

German Shepherds that look like this
(King was a good dog that my dad saved from the pound. Dad walked in and saw King sitting there. Dad asked why the dog was in the pound. King had eaten the owners cat so the owner apparently brought him in to be destroyed. Dad said, "I'll take him.") sorry cat lovers

Name 4 things you love to eat but rarely do:
Dairy

TGI Friday's Balsamic Chicken w/ pasta

Hot dogs with sauce, onion and mustard
(yes people there is such a thing as hot dog "sauce" and it isn't that cruddy stuff you get on a coney either! I grew up with this stuff and well, it is just what I grew up with and no coney will ever compare.

Lazagne from the Pizza Corner
My father built the pizza corner in 1983. He gutted
two apartment buildings and built an Italian Restaurant. He owned a couple
of restaurants prior to building this one but this one is the one that has lasted.
The food is still made with my dad's origial recipes and are THE BEST in the world. Oh Yes, I said it..The World! A local man and wife bought the restaurant from my father and mother back in 1988. Last year my cousins bought it from that couple. Yes indeedy, it's back in the family!

Name 5 things/people that make you feel good:

Good old fashioned gospel music
Accapella music
An almost summer day, windows rolled down,
"Boys of Summer" playing on the radio, wild flowers in the fields.

The sound of Family Night...after we're actually out of the house, the boys are laughing together, we're all looking into one another's eyes talking and smiling...man I LOVE that!
My parent's home...Sitting on the porch during a warm summer day, watching the boys swim, play with horses, shoot a bow or gun....rain begin to fall, the pitter patter on the tin roof lulls. The kids run and play in the warm rain. The family all together in sweet relaxing harmony. Baby, that's paradise.
