This Week's " Did It Done" was our laundry.
In our home, we wash at least 3 loads of laundry per day. The problem is that our family makes at least 5 loads per day. If we throw sheets and blankets into the mix, well, you might as well put on a snorkel and mask and swim through the clothes to get to the washing machine.
Every now and then, the loads pile up to the point that I know, for sure, that I will NEVER catch up with the laundry.
I have said many, many times on this blog that I have no shame when it comes to what I do and don't do in the housework department. Today is no exception. What you are viewing is the DIRTY clothes, sheets, blankets and towels that piled up so high in our laundry room that I had to take it ALL to the laundry matt in order to complete this weeks D.I.D. project....after Brisan dove into the clothes for a swim.
If you think you have a lot of laundry and are embarrassed to let people see your wash room, just point them to this blog and you will not be embarrassed anymore. :-)
I do this as a public service to my fellow "not about to be a flyLady" moms.
Let it be known that I am, the Anti-FlyLady. One finished chore a week, thank you very much, and I don't do windows!
So there you have it. I Did the laundry. It's Done!

I just have one question. Did you transport all that laundry to the laundromat????
Yes maam, :-)
My wonderful son Brisan loaded garbage bag after garbage bag and bin after bin into our van. When we got there, I took a bag in hand and the laundry detergent to put the first load in the wash. Brise then made multiple trips to our van parked conveniently right by the front doors, to bring loads in one at a time until they were all safe and sound in the washing machines.
By the time the last load was in and we bought a pop, the first load was ready to come out! LOL
Funny enough, after they were folded we didn't even need the garbage bags. They all fit in the bins folded. hmmm.... Maybe we should fold our dirty laundry. That makes it look like smaller piles. rofl
I don't know what planet you came from, but I think it must be pretty close to mine! A brownie loving homeschool mom of lots of boys who doesn't think Harry Potter is evil, gets sarcastic with stupid people who think homeschoolers live under rocks, revolts on wavy scissor purchases AND who has to use the laundrymat to get caught up?
If you tell me you hate stupid church signs, I'll KNOW it's an Anne of Green Gables Kindred Spirit Moment!!!
(it was the blog title that caught me, though!) ;-)
Deanna,
Stupid church signs make me want to vomit! I pass them, roll my eyes and think of a million reasons why they are WRONG! lol
That Obama sign! Oh my goodness!!
I read your profile. With the exception of your son's illness, and changing my husband's name, I could just cut and paste it into mine. It must be our Ohio roots. I'm an Ohio River brat myself 3 years of age to 8th grade. Were you born and raised there or a transplant?
I'm linking to you...of course!
I hate to have to admit, but I was born and lived in Michigan till age 15. We moved to Ohio after my parents divorced. Tom was raised here, though - AND he successfully created a Buckeye fan when he married me!
Oh, about the Fly Lady thing! Anybody who relishes going to bed smelling like Comet and Windex because they needed to clean their kitchen sink must either have no spouse, or their spouse must have a chemical-smell fetish. And they probably think Dandelions aren't Flowers, too! BORING!!
ummm Deanne...I live in Michigan, I was BORN in Michigan. We moved to Ohio when I was 3 theN to Kentucky when I was thirteen.
Okay, I'm officially afraid! Are we related?! LOL
ROFL! Born in Albion, grew up in Homer, lived in Hillsdale and Hudson for a short time before scooting to Ohio. My Dad's in Kalamazoo area now. We probably are related, being weird homeschoolers and all...yikes!
As fascinating as that is (because we dirty more laundry than I can wash, too- we've done the laundromat thing, it's a great fix. Sometimes i think if we only had enough clothes we'd just do it each month and not worry about the washing every single day.
But my real question here- is how did you manage to wrap the text around your pictures using blogger? The people want to know. At least I do.
Now I need to go check out the whole Deanna thing, that is just about CRAZY. I hope you two have made a playdate already.
Whew! Thank you for making me feel better about my own laundry! I have a ton PILED HIGH as well. Doesn't help that our dryer has "issues" and it takes 3 hours to dry one load of clothes. Yea... we need a new dryer as soon as money falls into our laps! LOL
Mrs. Hannigan,
LOVE the name. Six girls..I get it! LOL
There is a trick to wrapping text. It's hard to explain but I'll try...The trick is to put the pictures in to the left or right. Then type the post. Use the curser and the arrow keys to go back and forth to find the spot where the picture stars at the top. Type and wait for the text to wrap. After you type it all up you can move the pictures and drop them into the text.
My best advice is to play with it. Use the arrow keys, not the backspace. Backspace and delete will delete the pictures.
I hope that helps. It's tricky.
Christine,
I'm happy to know that someone feels my pain. Misery loves company you know! :-)
