ARE YOU NORMAL? ARE YOU NUTS? or ARE YOU BOTH?

Are You Normal or Nuts? That is the question. My new favorite television program is "The World's Dumbest Criminals." I don't like to judge people, but honestly, some of the things I've seen on that program are so ridiculous that I can't help but wonder how they could possibly have the sense to breathe.

It reminds me of the things I used to read in Reader's Digest when I was younger. That was my favorite magazine. I know I don't have to tell you about Reader's Digest Laughs. They are priceless.

The more I thought about those people, however, the more I realized that they probably have no idea whatsoever that they are abnormal! As I pondered this it dawned on me that I, myself may be abnormal! LOL You know, because I never asked myself if I am normal so how do I know I'm not oblivious to my screwed-up-ness?

I know they have never asked themselves this question or they wouldn't be trying to break into a bank from the ceiling or trying to rob a store with their finger. It does beg the question; Am I nuts too? Maybe I'm just quirky? How do I know the difference? Well, inquiring minds wanted to know (my mind) so I went on a quest to find out. I found the Normal or Nuts yearly update in Reader's Digest. I found that I'm not nuts for worrying a bit about silly things I say off the top of my head but I may actually have Attention Deficit Disorder because I can tune people out very easily. Honestly, a person can be talking in my ear and I may not hear a word of it. I thought that was normal! Ack!

So again, I ask you; Are You Normal or Nuts? Have you ever taken the time to find out? Ah ha! Are your quirks cute or do they require professional attention? That is the question! Makes you think huh?

I'm afraid of what the answer would be if you asked anyone around me!

I love Reader's Digest. Grew up with it. I think it's one of the reasons why I became an editor and a writer.
