2010 MICHIGAN HOMESCHOOL PROM CRUISE

April 30th marked the 2nd Annual Michigan Homeschool Prom.  It was held, once again, aboard the Elegant Detroit Princess in Downtown Detroit, Michigan.

The Detroit Princess is a beautiful, 5 story riverboat with chandeliers and stunning views; Located between COBO Hall and the GM Renaissance Center.

The Ship is enclosed, heated and air conditioned. What more could we ask for?
How about a 2 1/2 hour Cruise DURING our 6 hour prom!  Oh Yes!  Truth it be!

This is the second year that I've planned and organized the Michigan Homeschool Prom.
It's been a joy to work with the ship and watch the kids have a ball dancing and hanging out with old friends and New Acquaintances.

Our sons, Kazz and Brise, have attended with their friends both years.  Brise is still a bit young to go, but he helps decorate so he gets to enjoy the party too.

Kazz and Becca

 Becca
Last year, Kazz danced his hiney off with his girlfriend, Becca.  This year, he danced his hiney off with his fiance, Becca. :o)   Brise didn't feel comfortable dancing last year, so he didn't. However with a year of maturity, some prodding from big brother, Kazz, and help from the DJ, who taught the kids to dance, before letting the music rule the evening, he got out there and shook his groove thing some this year.

The Masquerade Theme was a hit.
The evening was a beautiful 80 degrees and breezy.

Brian and I are so thankful to have such wonderful friends who worked their tails off as Chaperons.
I think I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
